Terms of Service

These terms apply when you hire Rainey Visuals ("I", "me") for video editing services. By confirming a booking and making payment, you agree to them.

1. Services

I provide video editing services as described on raineyvisuals.co.uk or in a written quote. Anything outside the agreed package or brief is extra work and will be quoted separately before I continue.

2. Your responsibilities

You must:

• Provide all footage, assets, briefs, and reference material in good time
• Confirm you have the rights to use everything you send me (including music, logos, and third-party content)
• Respond to questions and revision requests within a reasonable time
• Pay on the schedule we agree

If you delay sending files, feedback, or payment, deadlines move accordingly. I am not responsible for missed deadlines caused by late client input.

3. Payment

Unless we agree otherwise in writing:

• A 50% deposit is required before work starts
• The remaining balance is due before the final export is delivered
• Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun
• Prices are in GBP. Bank fees or currency charges are your responsibility

I may pause or stop work if payment is late. Completed work stays withheld until the account is settled.

4. Revisions

Each package includes a fixed number of revision rounds, as listed on the site or in your quote. A revision round means one batch of consolidated feedback, not unlimited back-and-forth messages.

Extra revisions, re-edits after approval, or changes to the original brief are charged at my current hourly rate or a fixed fee I quote in advance.

5. Approval and delivery

I will send preview files for review. If I do not hear from you within 7 days of sending a preview, the edit may be treated as approved and the project closed.

Final files are delivered only after full payment. Delivery is by download link or another method we agree on.

6. Ownership and portfolio use

Once full payment is received, you own the final exported video(s) for your stated use. I keep ownership of my editing project files, templates, and techniques unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Unless you ask me not to in writing before delivery, I may show the finished work in my portfolio, on social media, or on this website. You can request confidentiality for sensitive projects; I may charge extra for that.

7. Cancellations

If you cancel after booking:

• Before work starts: the deposit may be retained to cover admin and reserved time
• After work starts: no refund of any amount paid; you receive work completed up to the cancellation date only if we agree that separately

I may cancel a project if you breach these terms, fail to pay, or send material I reasonably believe is unlawful or not yours to use. In that case, amounts already paid are not refunded.

8. No guarantees

Editing is a creative service. I do not guarantee specific results, audience growth, grades, or platform performance. I will work to your brief using reasonable skill and care.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, my total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the amount you paid me for that project. I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost income, data loss, or reputational damage, except where such limitation is not allowed by law.

10. General

These terms, together with your quote or package selection, form the full agreement. Changes must be in writing (email is fine). If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.

These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. Disputes should first be raised with me at hello@raineyvisuals.co.uk.
