Refund Policy
Last updated: 19 June 2026
Video editing is custom work done to your brief. Because of that, refunds are limited. Please read this before booking.
1. General rule
All payments are non-refundable once work has started. This includes deposits. By paying, you agree that I may begin allocating time and resources to your project immediately.
2. Deposits
Deposits reserve my time and are non-refundable in all cases, including if you:
- Change your mind before sending footage
- Cancel the project for any reason
- Fail to provide files, feedback, or payment on time
- Decide not to proceed after receiving a first cut
3. No refunds for subjective reasons
I do not offer refunds based on personal taste, style preference, or disappointment with creative choices that match the agreed brief and reference material. Revision rounds included in your package exist to address this — use them.
4. Dissatisfaction
If something is wrong with the edit, tell me within your included revision rounds and I will fix it. That is the remedy — not a refund. Additional revisions beyond your package can be purchased at my current rates.
5. Final delivery
Final exported files are released only after full payment. If you refuse to pay the remaining balance, you do not receive the final files and amounts already paid are not refunded.
6. Client-caused delays or cancellation
No refund is given if a project stalls or ends because you stop responding, change the scope, withhold assets, or breach the Terms of Service.
7. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Contact me first to resolve any issue. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without giving me a reasonable chance to respond may be treated as a breach of our agreement. I reserve the right to refuse future work and to share project records with my payment provider to defend legitimate charges.
8. Exceptions
Refunds are only considered at my sole discretion in rare cases — for example, if I am unable to deliver any work at all due to my own fault. Any such refund would be partial or full depending on work already completed, and would be the limit of my liability.
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights where the law requires otherwise.
9. Questions
If you are unsure about anything before paying, email hello@raineyvisuals.co.uk and ask. It is better to clarify upfront than to expect a refund later.
