Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 June 2026
This policy explains how Rainey Visuals ("I", "me") handles personal information when you use this website or hire me for editing work.
1. Who I am
Rainey Visuals is a video editing service operated by Kyle Rainey. Contact: hello@raineyvisuals.co.uk, +44 028 2542 4041.
2. What I collect
I only collect information you give me directly, such as:
- Name and email address
- Phone number, if you provide it
- Project details, briefs, and messages
- Footage and files you send for editing
- Payment-related information handled by your bank or payment provider (I do not store card details on this website)
The contact form on this site opens your email app. I do not run a database on this website that stores form submissions.
3. How I use it
I use your information to:
- Reply to enquiries and provide quotes
- Deliver editing services and communicate about your project
- Send invoices and keep basic business records
- Improve my services based on project feedback
I do not sell your personal data. I do not send marketing emails unless you have asked to hear from me, and you can opt out at any time.
4. Legal basis
I process your data because it is necessary to respond to your request, perform a contract with you, or pursue my legitimate business interests in running Rainey Visuals. Where required, I will ask for your consent.
5. Sharing data
I do not share your personal data with third parties except:
- When you ask me to (for example, sharing a preview link with someone on your team)
- With tools I use to run the business (email, cloud storage, payment processors), only as needed
- When required by law
Some service providers may process data outside the UK. I use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to protect your information.
6. How long I keep it
I keep enquiry and project records for as long as needed to complete the work, handle disputes, and meet tax or legal obligations — typically up to 6 years for financial records. Project files may be deleted from my storage after delivery unless we agree to keep them longer.
7. Your footage
You are responsible for the content you send. I may view, store, and edit your files only for the purpose of delivering your project. I am not responsible for backing up your original footage; keep your own copies.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Email me to make a request. I may need to keep some data for legal or accounting reasons even if you ask for deletion.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe I have handled your data incorrectly.
9. Cookies
This website does not use tracking cookies or analytics by default. If that changes, this policy will be updated.
10. Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
